Gary K. Aldridge, MBA, CPA, CVA, and CFE, is a seasoned financial expert with over 30 years of CFO experience across multiple industries, managing businesses from $300K to $120M in revenue. As the founder of Aldridge Valuation Advisors, he helps business owners maximize their company’s value through business valuation, fractional CFO services, and business brokerage. A licensed CPA and Certified Valuation Analyst, Gary also created LeveragingYOU!, an online course guiding entrepreneurs to increase their business worth.

There is more to life than making money and paying bills. Everything is not about business and numbers. So here is a little bit about me and the four areas on which I focus in life.
I am originally from Jackson, Mississippi and moved to the Nashville area in March 2016. I started Aldridge Valuation Advisors LLC in August 2018 and focus on providing business valuation, fractional CFO, and business brokerage services.
Through these services, I measure, grow, and sell business value. My biggest rush or satisfaction is when I feel like I have helped a business owner exit and provide for his children and grandchildren in more ways than previously imagined. This is one way in which I help impact lives.
Faith
I strive to honor God in all that I do. I plan to write a book about this later in 2025 and am halfway there. Two verses that inspire me are:
“...apart from me, you can do nothing.”
John 15:5
“I can do all this through him who gives me strength.”
Philippians 4:13
So, without Him, I can do nothing. With Him, I can do all things. These two verses serve as inspirational bookends for life.
Family
My two sons live in Nashville, and it is great having them nearby. James helps me with digital marketing and audio-visual recordings of podcasts and reels. John is a drummer and lives across town.
Fitness
Bet you didn’t know I am a former college cheerleader and triathlete! I competed in triathlons from ages 45-50. I completed about 23 triathlons ranging from a beginner triathlon to six half Ironman and two full Ironman triathlons. My mantra was “finish, have fun, and don’t hurt anything!” I don’t compete anymore, but I miss the training and camaraderie. If anything, competing in triathlons taught me that I am only competing with myself, not others. Run at my own pace and don’t chase others. Just keep moving forward and never give up. Never, ever give up!
Finances
My interest in building business value started when I was 5 years old. I watched as my older siblings (brother 12 and sister 9) were playing Monopoly. I asked if I could play, but they refused. I kept after them and would not take no for an answer. Finally, they let me play and began to try to pay me less than the rent required on each property that I owned. I guess they thought I didn’t know the rules and couldn’t count. They soon discovered the folly in that assumption. After catching them trying to “short pay” me a few times, my sister looked up at my brother and
said, “Uh oh. I think we are in trouble.” I beat them both at monopoly that day. It was the only game I ever won against either of them. By the way, both competed for valedictorian at their respective high schools and won various math awards.
I look at business as playing a game. Once you know the rules, the rest becomes easier. Just rinse and repeat.
I view business as a game. Once the rules are understood, the process becomes more manageable. Success is then achieved through repetition and refinement.
